RESEARCH IN THE VISUALIZATION OF FINANCIAL DATA - This is a research project for the investment company Morningstar in Chicago. Morningstar is one of the largest worldwide companies for financial analysis and information. The company had already set industry standards by reducing financial data to three items: a pie chart, a triangle, and the style box. It was a challenge to consolidate these three images into one graphic device so that investors could check a portfolio's balance sheet by several forms of measurement at a single glance.
The Documentation 'Research in the Visualization of Financial Data' shows the process, the ideas and the new possibilities of visualizing financial data.
